On the fourth Wednesday of every month, Walker Memorial Library runs a Silly Science program for kids! Starting at 3:30pm, kids will learn different STEM concepts in weird and silly ways. Be prepared to occasionally get messy. Past Silly Science activities have included the Human Body, Hydraulics, Elephant Toothpaste, Archaeological Digs, Stream Landscapes, and Microscopes and we’ve got even more awesome stuff planned for the future.

Silly Science is geared toward kids aged 5 to 10, but any children around those ages are welcome. Most of our programs are drop-in (come anytime between the start and finish of the activity and it’s fine); however, Silly Science does require you to arrive right around 3:30 or you may miss out on the activity. We’ve just packed so much fun science stuff in; you’ll want to be there at the beginning.
